Day 9: 2nd Sept 2014

Not too much on the agenda today. We took a drive up the coast north of Perth to Cottesloe Beach and on as far as Scarborough Beach. The weather wasn’t that flash, but the beach at Scarborough hinted at how nice it would be on a better day.

Di had told Sharon and Laura weeks ago about a place she’d found on the internet called “Woolly Lattes”, which is a combined coffee shop and knitting/wool shop. After we finally located the place, we ordered our coffees and the girls had a look around the shop. It turned out to stock a small range of “artisan” made yarns, very expensive, and not to Laura’s taste.
We drove back through Fremantle again which gave us another chance to take in some of the beautiful old buildings nestled amongst the narrow streets and roads.
